In this interactive exercise, the participants will get experience in devising an internal control structure and then evaluating other internal control structures.

Strengths & Weaknesses of Data Analytics

In this interactive exercise, students debate the best and worst uses of data analytics as they pertain to fraud, money laundering and bribery detection and prevention.

Day 2 – Morning

Building Your Investigative & Compliance Teams – Learn the techniques to build the best and most efficient investigative and compliance teams possible. (Part of a Presentation at the ACFE Global Fraud Conference)


With scientific studies determining that every four out of five decisions we make when under stress are incorrect, this interactive case study will help leaders understand certain decision-making traps as well as how to avoid them.

Day 2 – Afternoon

How Group Mentalities Sub-Consciously Affect You as the Leader

One of the best ways to learn is to find yourself behaving in a certain way and in this exercise, participants are surprised by the way they act. Falling into traps within the first couple of minutes, participants will discover their own implicit biases, flawed decision-making processes and most importantly, find that they can also become the victim of the groupthink phenomenon where people become blinded due to the cohesion of the team.

Are You A Great Communicator?

While most of us may think we are good communicators, this exercise will show that you are not nearly as good a communicator as you think you are. Using principles from a book called Made To Stick by Chip and Dan Heath, participants learn how to create more memorable messages while also avoiding the curse of knowledge.
